Leading the way on research on leishmaniasis in the UK

At the University of York we carry out research on the biology of the Leishmania parasite and its interaction with the host and our approaches include molecular, cellular and immuno-parasitology, as well as vaccine and drug discovery.

We are leads or major contributors to five international networks that aim to find innovative solutions to control leishmaniasis.
